Teens have a unique opportunity to learn painting for free.

Local artist Paula McCarty will teach kids ages 13-17 how to paint landscape pastels on November 13, at Busey Woods.

The painting class will run from 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Participants will hike to an inspiring location and paint their masterpiece.

A naturalist will be on hand to guide the adventure, too!

While free, people do need to sign up for the class. Call Anita Purves Nature Center at (217) 384-4062 to sign up and reserve a spot.
