People can improve their intellectual fitness through fun and games, and Urbana Park District and Urbana Free Library are partnering to offer CogniFit: Brain Games Zoom, on August 10.
The Zoom games will run from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
The games are free, but people need to register in order to get the Zoom link and brain games kit.
“People of all ages are invited to play the games on August 10,” said Ashley Dennis, Outreach and Wellness Coordinator. She continued, “These games are all family friendly and are designed to improve brain health through memory, cognition and critical thinking.”
People under age 15 need to play with an adult.
People can register for the free CogniFit: Brain Games Zoom, online at urbanaparks.org/register. After registering, pick up the CogniFit: Brain Game Kit at the Urbana Free Library beginning August 1. You can also call the library at (217) 367-4057 to schedule a curbside pickup for the game kit. People need to register by August 6.
Dennis concluded, “We invite everyone to join us for the virtual games on August 10. Challenge yourself by learning a new game, and meeting some friendly new faces from the comfort of your home.”
