It is ready. The Lake House in Crystal Lake Park is up and running. The park, located at 206 West Park Street, boasts one of the most scenic views in Urbana.

“The Lake House offers a beautiful view of Crystal Lake with easy access to pavilions, playgrounds, and boating in the park,” said Janet Soesbe, Program Manager for Urbana Park District. “Not only can people rent the Lake House for special parties and events, people can also rent boats for a fun, scenic excursion around the lake,” she added.

People can rent boats from Noon to 7pm Saturdays and Sundays through May 27. They can rent boats Thursday through Sunday starting May 31. People can call (217) 328-1069 for boat rental information.

If people want to rent the Lake House for a party, they should call (217) 367-1544 for information and to check availability.

The Park District is looking forward to another fun season. “All of our workers practiced for days before we opened and they are ready to serve you,” Soesbe added. She concluded, “If you are a returning customer or new to the area, please check us out. You belong here!”
