This was a challenging summer for kids. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, park districts had to cancel summer camps, athletic programs and close pools.

You might excuse kids if they were a little bored this summer.

Well, Urbana Park District tried to alleviate the boredom by handing out 600 Boredom Buster Bags at locations all around the community.

The bags were delivered in the brand new Urvana Mobile Recreation Unit. 

Park district staff stuffed the bags with all sorts of fun, educational activities for kids to complete. Many days, all the bags were claimed within minutes!

We thank all park district staff who worked so hard to make Boredom Buster Bags a success and we are glad that the kids enjoyed them.
