Weaver Park

East Main Street at Smith Road

This park/natural area is under development and not currently open to the public.

Located in east Urbana at the intersection of Main Street and Smith Road, Weaver Park contains a remnant savanna, an area where woodland transitions into prairie. With the help of volunteers, the Urbana Park District is managing this uncommon prairie-forest ecosystem.

Stewardship Saturdays

Commissioners Grove
In 2007, the district dedicated Commissioners Grove, an eight-acre remnant of the Big Grove, in honor of all the commissioners who have served the district since its beginning in 1907.
