Urbana Park District and the Champaign County Camera Club want your best shot.
Enter your photos in the 20th Annual Best in Show Photographic Print Competition.
“We have some very talented photographers in Champaign County,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager at Urbana Park District.
People can enter their photos in the following categories.
• Animals
• Architecture
• Black and White
• Club
• General
• Landscape
• Nature
• People
• Youth
The entry form has all the rules for contestants.
“People can enter their photos by January 20, 2021 for the early bird price of $5 for the first photo and $3 for each additional print,” Soesbe said. After that, prices go up to $10 for the first print and $3 for the others.
Youth 18 (enrolled in High School) and under can enter their photos for free!
Because of covid-19 precautions, there won’t be a public judging, but judges will record a critique for online viewing. Total cash and retail value of prizes is expected to exceed $2000.
The public can view the photos at Lincoln Square from February 6 – 14.
“This is the 20th annual Best in Show Photographic Print Competition,” Soesbe said. She concluded, “We invite photographers to share their passion with the community.”
