In this workshop you will learn tips on how to shop smartly so when you are staring into your fridge thinking about tonight's dinner, you will be prepared with healthy options to serve yourself and your family.
UPD Outreach & Wellness staff, Elsie Hedgspeth and Ashley Dennis, will take you on a virtual tour of some of Urbana's local grocery stores so that next time you visit the Common Ground Food Co-op or Walmart, you will be equipped with the knowledge to make your shopping trip concise and informed. As you move along the shopping journey, you will learn how to interpret the claims on food labels and what to look out for on nutrition labeling.
