We know exercise is good for us, but what kinds of exercise are best for us?
Urbana Park District, in partnership with the Exercise Physiology Lab at the University of Illinois, are hosting a free workshop to discuss the benefits (physical and mental) of exercise.
The workshop will be Tuesday, September 7, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. The workshop will be a Phillips Recreation Center. People will need to wear masks during the session.
Participants will hear evidence of the benefits of exercise, hear the current exercise recommendations from the CDC, and participate in a short exercise class. Attendees can take home resources to help them become and stay active.
While the workshop is free, people still need to register - either online or call the park district at (217) 367-1544.
