Learn ethnic cooking this summer at Urbana Park District

Learn Flavor Principles of Ethnic Cooking this summer at Phillips Recreation Center.

Self-taught chef Paul Young breaks down recipes from Jamaica, Italy and Japan.

The schedule this summer is:

  • June 9, Jamaican Cooking - learn to make a jerk marinade from scratch.
  • June 30, Italian classics - learn to make almost anything taste Italian!
  • July 21, Taste of Japan - learn how to make three classic Japanese dishes with sake pairings.

Each class is from 6 - 8 p.m.

It costs $35 for residents to register, $52 for non-residents. People can also register for all three classes. 

People need to be 21 and over to register for these classes.
