For several years the Champaign County Audubon Society has managed the nature store in the Anita Purves Nature Center. Starting Monday, December 2, the Anita Purves Nature Center will take over store operations and will be having a large sale.

“We are thankful for the Audubon Society’s years of hard work with regards to the store and we are looking forward to continuing to offer unique gifts in this new chapter,” said Nicole Hilberg, Environmental Office Manager.

The public will benefit from the first item of business - selling out the current merchandise.

“We’re having an inventory liquidation sale on all of the merchandise. This is a great opportunity for the public to pick up low-priced holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. When you buy $5 or more you will get a 70% discount from December 2 - December 31,” Hilberg added.

The store will close January 1, and will re-open February 15. “So, be sure to get to the Nature Store at Anita Purves Nature Center now to pick up some great items,” Hilberg said.

“We look forward to offering nature-related products including reusable, eco-friendly, and even local artists’ items in the New Year. Come and take advantage of our sale – the shop is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., except holidays. We accept credit cards, cash and local checks,” Hilberg concluded.
