No midlife crisis in 2019 as the Anita Purves Nature Center turns 40

2019 will be a big year at Urbana Park District’s Anita Purves Nature Center. The Nature Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary all next year.

"The Nature Center opened in 1979 and named in honor of nature lover Anita Purves," said Judy Miller, Environmental Program Manager. “We host thousands of kids and adults each year and we invite everyone to pay us a visit in 2019.”

People can make their Nature Center plans by looking through the latest Urbana Park District program guide.

"In addition to our current programs, we will be bringing back some of the most popular events and programs from the past 40-years," Miller added.
