The Urbana Park District and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois are pleased to offer a series of free, family friendly community programs this August that focus on pollinators.

The following free events are:

Birds: Saturday, August 12, 8–10am (rain date August 13)
Bees: Saturday, August 19, 10am–12pm (rain date August 20)
Bats: Saturday, August 26, 7–9pm (rain date August 27)

Each event features:

Talk: Enjoy a presentation from local experts with information about local wildlife, what to look for, and how you can support their healthy coexistence with our community.
Walk: Join a guided exploration of Busey Woods/Crystal Lake Park to see, hear, identify, and learn about local species.
Snack: Enjoy complimentary snacks inspired by the diets and natural history of the featured animals.
Craft: Participate in a craft project that you can take home to support our local wildlife populations.

While free, people need to sign up. Sign up for on event or all three events by calling (217) 367-1544.

Everyone is welcome to come to these free nature walks in August.
