We always welcome spring break. For families planning a “stay-cation” this March, Urbana Park District is offering Spring Break Day Camp from March 16 – 20, at Phillips Recreation Center.

Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., for kids ages 6-12.

“We know that our grown-ups aren’t as lucky as our kids to be able to have a spring break, so we want to offer this experience for the kids to have during their break from school, said Niki Hoesman, Community Program Coordinator.

She explained, “Each day is packed with activities and a field trip/special activity in the afternoons.”

Kids will make crafts, and play games. Parents should pack a lunch and water bottle for their kids, and they need to dress for mess.

If families register their kids before March 2, it’ll cost $168 for residents and $252 for non-residents.

Parents can also register for single days – at a cost of $38 for residents and $57 for non-residents if they register two weeks ahead of time.

“We welcome all kids between 6-12 years old. Be sure to register soon,” Hoesman concluded.
