Urbana Park District, in cooperation with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, is offering a free Rules of the Road course for people age 50 and better.

The class will be on Zoom, and in person at Phillips Recreation Center, June 3.

Six people can attend the class at Phillips Recreation Center, socially-distanced, wearing masks and observing covid-19 safety protocols.

Or, people can watch the class virtually.

“We are glad to offer this class in both in person and virtual format; whatever people are most comfortable with,” said Jacob Johnston, Community Program and Engagement Coordinator.

Seasoned drivers can learn to polish their skills and keep on top of changing traffic laws.

The class is free, but people people wanting to watch the class on Zoom need to register, so they can get the proper online link to connect to the class.

Call (217) 367-1544 so Johnston can email the Zoom link. Or, people can register online.

“We hope many take advantage of this free program in person or online. There is plenty of room online, so people belong at our Rules of the Road classes June 3,” Johnston said.
