Winter weather makes us slow down physically and, sometimes, mentally. To combat a cold, groggy mind, Urbana Park District invites people of all ages to the Lake House in Crystal Lake Park for the free event, Brain Teasers and Treats, February 20, from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
“Our goal is to keep the brain fit and the body warm,” said Elsie Hedgspeth, Outreach and Wellness Manager.
The park district and Urbana Free Library are partnering in this event, which is open to all ages.
“We’ll have a variety of fun games and activities for people to enjoy, and we’ll have hot cocoa as a treat,” Hedgspeth added.
While the event is free for everyone, the park district asks people to register since space is limited.
People can call Hedgspeth at (217) 367-1544 if they have any questions.
“This is a fun, family-friendly activity open for everyone. We want to see many people at The Lake House at Crystal Lake Park on February 20,” Hedgspeth said.
