It is never too early to learn the great game of soccer. And, Urbana Park District is offering Sharkey’s Fall Soccer for boys and girls who are 4-5 years old.

“Sharkey’s soccer helps kids learn teamwork and basic soccer skills,” said Kyle Mills, Athletics Coordinator. “We modify the rules, ball and field to meet the little one’s size and abilities.

“Everyone gets a t-shirt and everyone participates.”

Parents can register their kids until August 26. It costs $29 for residents and $41 for non-residents. If people sign up before August 19, they will get an early-bird discount.

The Sharkey’s Fall Soccer season runs September 3 through October 10.

“Soccer is a great game and a great way for kids to get exercise, meet new friends and learn new skills. All 4-5 year-olds are welcome and belong on this program,” Mills said.
