If you have a child between ages 2 -12, you still have a chance to register them for ballet classes. The Urbana Park District Teeny Ballereenies, Bigger Ballereenies and Youth Beginning/Continuing Ballet has openings for your kids.
People can look up the details and register online, or look up the information in the Urbana Park District Fall Program Guide.
“Our ballet classes teach exercise, balance, music and movement,” said Niki Hoesman, Community Program Coordinator. “As the will learn proper ballet techniques.”
At the end of each class, the students will demonstrate what they learned to parents and their loved ones.
And, until August 24, parents can register their kids at the early bird rate of $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
“Ballet is a wonderful way for kids to learn confidence, movement and music,” Hoesman. “Our ballet classes are open to all kids ages 2 -12. They belong and we hope to see many kids participate.”
