Take your kids swimming and to the movies at the same time

Families have one more chance to enjoy a movie and a swim at Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center, on August 17.

“We will be showing Mary Poppins Returns,” said Leslie Radice, Aquatics Manager. “Adults and kids can enjoy the movie either in the pool or on the pool deck.”

The doors open at 8:15 p.m., on August 17, and the movie begins at 8:30. “People can bring in outside snacks, but please leave glass containers and alcohol at home,” Radice said. She added, “We allow sealed drinks in coolers. People have to fill their water bottles at the pool.”

Admission is $6 for residents and $9 for non-residents. “Pool members get in free,” Radice said.

Urbana Park District is grateful to First Federal for supporting Movies at the Pool this year.

“Please come out to Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center on August 17. All are welcome to this fun, family event to wind up the kids’ summer vacation,” Radice concluded.
