Teens can let their imaginations flow free during the free, virtual, Imagination Open Lab this spring.

The lab runs each Thursday from 4 – 5 p.m., from March 25 to April 29, on Zoom.

“Folks will get an assortment of arts and craft supplies and each week the kids will be coming up with and leading the projects. Everything we do will be based on their interests and things that they would like to learn and explore,” said Niki Hoesman, Community Program Coordinator.

While the program is free, people do need to register in order to get the Zoom link. They can register online or call (217) 367-1544 to sign up.

Hoesman will deliver the lab supplies to each person and the Zoom session promises to be engaging. “It will be a maker’s lab where we will talk about what we'd like to work on that day and make it. This type of free-flowing program allows folks to be truly creative just based off of what is already in their brains,” Hoesman explained.

People need to sign up for the Imagination Open Lab by March 18.

Hoesman concluded, “I hope that this session gives folks a safe space to explore their creativity. Everyone is welcome to sign up.”
