The Lake House in Crystal Lake Park is a good place to host gatherings – even during covid-19.

“Currently, we are renting at half capacity, which means 25 people inside the rental room and 50 people with the rental room and patio combined,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “Each group is responsible for signing a covid-19 specific waiver and having all their guests sign in on a contract tracing roster.”

Soesbe added, “The Lake House is the perfect spot for gatherings like showers, retreats or workshops, graduation or retirement parties, and small weddings.”

There are several positives to renting the Lake House. “The space is a good blank slate you can customize for all different types of groups, and our prices are reasonable. The Lake House is cozy and the view of the lake is beautiful. We rent from 6am to midnight,” Soesbe explained.

If people want to consider renting the Lake House, they can call Soesbe at (217) 367-1544. If they want to book a wedding date, Soesbe needs advance notice. She said, “We often do small weddings on our Lakeside Deck and many couples visit me at least twice while they’re planning their nuptials. We went 11 months in advance. In other words, we can do a March 2022 request now.”
