Urbana Park District extends the indoor activities suspension through December 27

In light of Governor Pritzker’s announcement that the state will extend Coronavirus Tier 3 mitigations “for a few weeks,” Urbana Park District will continue to suspend all indoor activities through Sunday, December 27.

The following safety guidelines are in place:

  • Suspend indoor fitness programs at Phillips Recreation Center, The Lake House in Crystal Lake Park and Brookens Gym.
  • Suspend indoor lap swim, water exercises and swim team at Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center.
  • Suspend indoor facility rentals.
  • Suspend walk-in traffic at indoor facilities.

The park district will re-evaluate the situation later this month, and staff will be in contact with people who have signed up for classes and programming during this suspension.

The park district will open registration for January – April activities on December 28.
