Urbana Park District invites the public to view the winning entries of “Bridging the Art Divide” at Crystal Lake Park.

The art is mounted and placed on the sides of the Crystal Lake Park Bridge, near the historic stone steps.

The art panels will be on display through Thanksgiving.

“We had some wonderful entries by several artists,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “These art pieces will help bring some extra vibrancy at Crystal Lake Park.”

People can see the art looking northwest from the Lake House in Crystal Lake Park. “If people rent a kayak, paddle boat or canoe, they can get a nice, close-up of the art,” Soesbe added.

An Urbana Arts & Culture Program grant helped pay for this colorful display. “The park district is grateful for the grant and thrilled to highlight these talented artists,” Soesbe commented.

Soesbe said, “We hope the public takes advantage this summer and fall to go to Crystal Lake Park to view ‘Bridging the Art Divide.’ Everyone is welcome to the park and we hope they enjoy the unique, bridge exhibit.”
